Schedule

Day 1: Athens to Meteora

Depart Athens by private vehicle, traveling north through Thessaly toward Meteora. Upon arrival, begin your introduction to this UNESCO-listed landscape with guided visits to one or two of Meteora’s most significant monasteries, selected based on timing and interest.

Enjoy a private wine tasting at Domaine Liakou, one of the very few wineries cultivating vines within the Meteora zone, producing elegant, small-batch wines shaped by altitude and stone-rich soil.

Visit the Natural History Museum of Meteora & Mushroom Museum, offering insight into the region’s biodiversity and long-standing mushroom and truffle traditions.

Continue to the traditional village of Kastraki and settle beneath the towering rock formations.

In the late afternoon, dinner is arranged at a taverna, known for refined Thessalian cuisine and warm local hospitality.

Day 2: Truffle Hunting | Return to Athens

After breakfast, meet professional truffle hunters and their trained dogs for a private truffle-hunting experience in the forests surrounding Meteora.

Learn about the region’s truffle varieties before enjoying a freshly prepared truffle pasta lunch, paired with local wine, served in a natural setting.

Meteora – 1 Night:
The journey begins with a private transfer from Athens to Meteora, introducing one of Greece’s most distinctive natural and spiritual landscapes. The first day focuses on orientation and cultural exploration, combining guided visits to selected monasteries with scenic viewpoints that highlight the scale and character of the rock formations. Day 2 – Truffle Experience & Return:

The experience concludes with free time before a private transfer back to Athens in the afternoon.
